The Terms and Conditions set out an agreement between 'you' the owner and The Manston Pet Hotel.

HOURS OF BUSINESS

Opening Times


Drop Off/Pick up - between the times stated below


9.00am-10.30am  -  4.30pm-6pm


Other Times are by prior arrangement only, but will never be after 6pm.

Please feel free to come and look around.  Viewings are Monday to Saturday, after 2pm and by appointment only, for security reasons 


We try to keep to the opening times as much as possible, especially in the evening, when the guests are settled for bed. Dogs departing after this time upset the fellow boarders & we then endure barking well after you have left, which can be upsetting for our more nervous/timid boarders.


All charges are to be paid on the day of arrival or the departure day.

Bank holidays are charged at normal rate.
Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day are charged at double rate. 



Any animal requiring daily injections are subject to an additional charge of £4.00 per day( Dogs Only!)

Any person entering The Manston Pet Hotel do so at their own risk, All children must be kept under control at all times. No children under the age of 10 will be allowed up into the kennel area.

We are not open for admission or collection on Easter Sunday, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day.

We guarantee 2 walks per day, However we do aim to give the dogs 3 walks per day, which is thankfully most of the time. If we have staff members off sick this does make the 3rd walk more difficult.

FOOD

FOOD IS NO LONGER INCLUDED IN THE PRICE YOU PAY FOR YOUR STAY.

YOU NEED TO BRING THEIR FOOD IN CLEARLY LABELLED.


Vaccinations
All animals must have up to date inoculations and valid certificates which do not expire before the last day of boarding with us. Vaccination Certificates/cards MUST BE SHOWN ON ARRIVAL TO THE MANSTON PET HOTEL. We will not take animals without up-to-date certificates.

Dogs

All dogs entering the kennels must produce an up to date, yearly vaccination certificate against distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis and parvo virus.

KENNEL COUGH VACCINE IS NOW REQUIRED BEFORE YOU BOARD YOUR DOG WITH US, THEY NEED TO HAVE IT AT LEAST 2 WEEKS BEFORE THE START OF THEIR STAY WITH US. DOGS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO STAY WITH US IF LESS THAN 2 WEEKS HAS PASSED SINCE THE VACCINE HAS BEEN ADMINISTERED, ANY QUESTIONS REGARDING THE KENNEL COUGH VACCINE, PLEASE CONTACT YOUR VET OR CLICK HERE




Kennel cough is an ever present disease, We are powerless to stop it, it doesn't originate here in the pet hotel, it is brought in by customers dogs, It is similar to the flu virus, it is airborne, it blows around, it can be caught in the park, dog training classes, vets, in kennels, in fact anywhere where dogs go. It is a similar senario to sending your children to school, 1 child goes to school ill and passes it around to others in the class, This is what can happen here with kennel cough unfortunately!!

Dogs who have had the virus can still omit the virus for several months afterwards, passing it to others. It has an incubation period of up to 10-12 days, where no symptoms show at all this is the problem with trying to stop the spread of it, as we do not know the dog has the infection to isolate them from the other residents. The symptoms can vary from a runny nose & sneezing to a honking cough. There is always a chance that your dog may contract kennel cough whilst in kennels, it is something we have no control over, All I can do is ask everyone one stays here to have the vaccination against it the disease. This is no guarantee your dog will not still contract it. Having said that not all dogs contract it even if it is present and if they do it can lessen the severity and duration, which is why we ask for the nasal drops administering before boarding. We rely on customers informing us if they think their pet has a possible case of kennel cough, and can only inform our other customers to watch out for symptoms knowing this. Manston Pet Hotel will not accept any banned dogs including Pit Bull Terrier, Dogo Argentino, Fila Braziliero, Japanese Tosa, American Pit Bull type/cross breed dogs.

Aggressive dogs are not permitted to stay with us, this is to protect ourselves & staff from injury.

Cats

All cats entering the cattery must produce an up to date, yearly vaccination certificate against feline influenza, feline enteritis, and feline leukaemia.


Client Obligations
Clients must inform Manston Pet Hotel if their pet has or has had any illness since making the booking. A pet with any infectious condition will not be accepted until cleared. If clients return home early, for any reason, no reductions will be made.

Behavioural problems must be brought to The Manston Pet Hotels attention at the time of booking. I.E chewing leads! Failure to do so may result in additional charges becoming payable by you, the client.

Clients agree to authorise Manston Pet Hotel to handle any emergencies that may arise in accordance with the Veterinarian Release Form. Manston Pet Hotel will make every effort to contact the client.


Please Note: We are stopping accepting bedding for the doggy boarders. We will provide all bedding, our vet bedding is soft and cosy not to mention  easy to wash and dry.   We did allow you to bring your own things, but it causes more problems with being to large and bulky for the washing machines etc. We hope you understand why we have changed this policy.


Charges
We require a non-refundable deposit for every pet that is booked into the Pet Hotel. The deposit is 30% of the total booking amount, with a minimum deposit of £30.00 payable. For bookings that total less than £30.00, the full amount is then payable when the booking is made.(Deposits for Christmas bookings are charged at 50%.) 

There is a minimum stay of 4 days for cats. 

Rates are on a daily basis, charged from and including the date of arrival & the day of departure. 

This allows essential & thorough cleansing & disinfecting of the kennels & cat Pods in-between hotel guests.      

Cancellation of your booking   

At least TWO WEEKS notice is required, if you wish to cancel your booking with us. The deposit paid at the time of booking is NON REFUNDABLE. Failure to cancel before this period will incur full charges. Non payment of any charges may result in your pets being refused boarding in the future.                                             

Exceptions at the discretion of the proprietors.


Boarding fees must be paid in full, no animal will be released until all monies owing have been paid.

Insurance for conditions arising within the duration of the animal's stay, are included for the full length of your stay. Illness which is present before your pet is boarded with us is not included in our insurance, & will be chargeable to you on your return, or on your own insurance if treatment is needed.

two or more animals sharing the same accommodation from the same family will also be excluded from insurance cover if a fight between them breaks out which requires veterinary treatment. however, they will be insured for any other illnesses

The right is reserved to alter boarding charges without notice. Current charges are available on our web site.

All prices are inclusive of VAT


Payment Methods
We accept payment by cash, bank transfer, or debit card. We accept most major credit cards.



PLEASE NOTE, We no longer accept cheques as a form of payment.

Extra services, if required, are priced separately and added to your bill.



When making a booking a deposit must be paid to confirm it.. If we have not received your deposit within 24 hours we will assume you do not want the booking & cancel it from our system.

THE DEPOSIT IS NON REFUNDABLE


Limitation of Liability
Animals are boarded at the sole risk of their owners and whilst every care will be taken, to our usual exceptional standards, The Manston Pet Hotel cannot be liable for illness, injury or death of any animal in their care. Animals are accepted at owners risk. 

If we decide in the best interests of your pet that they may need some veterinary attention while in the Kennels & cattery, we will take them to either your regular vet or a local vet depending on their condition/distance to your vet.

You may bring any items of food, bedding, playthings etc for your pet, but please note that The Manston Pet Hotel DOES NOT ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY for their condition or safe return, and are left solely at the owner's risk. Any belongings that are soiled during the boarding period may have to be destroyed. All carriers, beds, bedding and toys must be clearly marked with the owner's name, and we ask you to keep a record of items handed over and it is up to the owners to ask for them at the end of the stay.

Permissions
You hereby give permission to The Manston Pet Hotel to re-home or dispose of your pet/pets if you fail to let them know of any change in circumstances over the phone, by text message or in writing, or fail to collect your pet/pets within 14 days of the arranged date of collection.
 

Worming

Please worm your pet on a regular basis, we advise you obtain worming treatments from your vet as these are more effective. If we find your pet has worms when they are staying with us we will treat your pet which will be payable on your return.
You agree that The Manston Pet Hotel can bath your dog, if the need arises, when boarding with us. If your pet if found to have fleas, the Manston Pet Hotel reserves the right to treat your dog with an appropriate flea treatment, the cost of this treatment will be payable on your return. To avoid this, please use a regular flea prevention treatment.
